"My husband and I found out about First Look Sonogram while frantically thumbing through the yellow pages to find a place that would see me right away! We had just come from the hospital for our routine ultrasound and I had spent the last hour in a tiny room on an uncomfortable table with an overworked and grumpy technician. For weeks, we had been planning a big party with family and friends to announce the sex of the baby. (We waited to find out with our first daughter, so this was a big deal for us.) We spent the morning cleaning the house, cooking, and preparing games and betting pools all based on the big announcement. When we went to the ultrasound at the hospital at 3:30 that afternoon, we were completely crushed after the grumpy technician told us she could not determine the sex of the baby. She quickly scooted us out the door, both of us devistated and extremely disappointed. On the ride home, we contemplated cancelling the party and just having our own little pity party instead. By the time we walked in the house, my husband was fuming and I was in tears. He opened up the phone book and started calling private sonogram services to see if anybody would be willing to see me before our guests arrived in 2 hours. After about five or six phone calls, he turned to me and said, "I'm sorry, Honey...but we are just going to have to wait." I begged him to please just try one more. First Look Sonogram was the next number he dialed. I watched him as he spoke with the receptionist who answered the phone, and slowly his furrowed brow relaxed as his frown turned up into a little smile. "Go get ready now. They'll see you!" he told me excitedly. "You've got to go to Redondo Beach." I scurried out the door and into the car to face Friday afternoon rush hour traffic, and exactly one hour later arrived at the office of First Look Sonogram. Wow, it was a far cry from that tiny hospital room I was just in. I found myself in a beautifully decorated office with plush white furniture, a huge comfortable bed, large screen monitor, classical music playing softly in the background, and a very friendly and professional technician. Within two minutes, the technician was able to tell me that I was pregnant with another baby girl, and she took the time to explain to me exactly what I was seeing and printed plently of pictures for me to show off to my friends and family who were already waiting at home. It was such a wonderful experience!
I wish I could have skipped the hospital ultrasound and gone straight
to First Look....if only my insurance would have covered it! Thank you
to all of the staff for saving the day and making this sonogram a very
memorable experience!"

have a 2 year old and am pregnant with my second. If I could have done
this before I would have. I was absolutely amazed and in awe of the experience.
I checked into about 5 places before choosing first look sonogram. I live
in Ontario so it was a drive, but well worth it. The atmosphere and people
are wonderful. I felt like I was in a friends home for a visit. The quality
of the sonogram is unbeliveable and by far the best of other's I have
seen. We had the grandparents join us for our visit. Everyone was bowled
over by what we saw. My daughter watches the video all the time because

visit to First Look Sonogram was outstanding. The pictures of our baby
were just amazing, especially because it is real time and we could watch
her move and yawn. Other people are just astounded when we show them the
pictures. They can't believe their eyes! Even though this is our third
